形态特征：与原亚种区别在于本亚种的植株被锈色鳞片；叶片较大，长2-9厘米，宽0.7-1.5(-3)厘米，侧脉在近叶缘处明显汇合成一条线；果较小，圆形或长圆形，长约1厘米，有时具小尖头。
产地分布：原产非洲，现广泛栽培作木犀榄的砧木。我国也有栽培。
