分类讨论：The results of the morphological observations suggest that D. libingtaoi found in Malipo County, Yunnan Province, China, is similar to D. draconis, but differs in shape and colour of petals, lip and its lobes. Phylogenetic analyses also indicate that D. libingtaoi is sister to D. draconis and is a member of D. section Formosae. Identification of new species provides more information for taxonomic and phylogenetic studies and increases the species richness of the genus.

识别要点：This new species is similar to Dendrobium draconis, but differs in having ovate-elliptic petals, a lip with a red blotch in the middle, narrowly ovate lateral lobes, and nearly round midlobe. These two species exhibit obvious differences.

形态特征：附生草本植物，茎柱状，长15.0-33.0厘米，直径0.7-1.1厘米，不分枝，节间长1.5-2.5厘米。叶二列，卵状长圆形，3.5-5.0×2.0-2.5厘米，两面密被黑毛，先端具等长二裂片，基部下延形成鞘。花序2-5朵花，1.0-2.0厘米；花苞片卵状披针形，5.0-7.0厘米，背面黑色有粗毛；花梗和子房长3.2-3.7厘米。花白色；唇部中间有淡红色斑点；蕊柱正面和距内部红色。萼片背面具龙骨状突起，翅状；中萼片近圆形，20.0-23.0×6.0-7.0毫米，先端锐尖；侧萼片长圆状披针形，22.0-25.0×6.6-7.5毫米，先端锐尖；萼囊长，窄，直，形成一角状距，1.0-1.2厘米；花瓣卵状椭圆形，2.2-2.4×1.0-1.1厘米，先端近锐尖；唇瓣2.3-2.5厘米，三裂；侧裂片狭卵形，10.0-12.0×4.0-5.0毫米，全缘；中裂片近圆形，10.0-12.0×10.0-12.0毫米，边缘波状，上弯；花粉块4，长方形，2对。
